ID cards: please write to your MP!

Yay to the House of Lords for rejecting parts of the ill-conceived ID cards bill again and sending it back to the Commons for the second time, yesterday. (Here's why I'm against the proposed ID card legislation - plus more posts.)

And yay to the London School of Economics who continued to publish reports about the costs issues.

But the House of Commons could still railroad it through. And it has huge negative implications on the civil liberties, privacy and security (not to mention costs) front, for all of us in the UK.

So please do consider contacting your MP to urge them to vote against the Bill. Info on how to contact your MP, and other helpful information on the proposed Bill, is on the No2ID.net site.
